Just about every girl wants flowers. Right? No matter what other things we girls are inclined to, we all love to stop and smell the roses... Or better yet, to receive flowers from someone dear to let us know we are remembered and lovingly cherished. (hint, hint, hint... lol) In doubt of a perfect present? Go for flowers. If they are allergic to pollen, good quality silk flowers do wonders.... Oh the beauty of a flower.... not only does it make us feel loved, it makes us feel really girly.
"The Rose speaks of love silently,
in a language known only to the heart."Flower talk gets me in the mood today because of my next nail art challenge... Rose.
I know, I know, the flower above isn't a rose.... but hey, isn't it pretty? :D I tried to do a rose vine on my nails this time... And of course, I will be showing you other rosette nail arts too... please keep reading ;)
Pink is a very pretty color. I noticed that just about anyone wearing pink gets a lot of compliments. Why? It exudes quiet, calm beauty. And we absorb that, increasing our "happy" levels... Therefore, we normally commend someone wearing pink. Today, I want to bring you more pink. :)
This time, I tried to do more of a vine rose rather than rosette flowers. To change it up a bit. It's basically a tiny bit of polish dabbed together, one on top of the other. Painting some of them over a french mani gives it a little more finesse.
Abstract Rosettes are not difficult to do... Don't get discouraged when your first tries doesn't work... keep on trying and it will only get better. In the words of Andre Gide:
"He who want's a rose respect it's thorns."The thorn of practice and patience isn't that hard to handle, is it? Specially if in the end you develop a special skill. Patience not only benefits us in nail art, in real life too :)
Pink Flying Cow's YouTube channel has a very easy to follow tutorial on painting roses. Remember that in following a tutorial, you do not need to copy the exact design or use the same exact colors and nail polish brand names... This is a great way to express yourself.
Here are my first tries on making the rosette nail art. Honestly, while I was working at it, it looked messy. But the topcoat actually softens the polish. It's rough when different colors are combined but the top coat brings it all together. It came out pretty nice, don't you think? Please click on the photo to lead you to the blog-post.
And Here's another one... On my first try, I thought I did a boo-boo on the flower. I went with it anyway... It turned into a bouquet of flowers since some looked like tulips too... I have to admit that thought copy the idea of a design sometimes, the end result doesn't exactly match the original design. If that is true for you, don't be anxious... It is actually bringing out your own personal style.
I will enter this nail art designs in the OMD2 Nail Art Challenge hosted by CraftyNail.Com (Link at the bottom of my blog if you want more info). Below you will find other entries as well for more inspiration. I like this nail art challenge as I didn't have to worry if I'm good enough. A winner will be picked at random for good incentive. But no matter how it ends, we would have shared our work and got inspired by others, right?
I hope you enjoyed this nail art mani's today dear ladies... Please feel free to comment below. I would appreciate sincere thoughts from you and words of encouragement. Wishing you lots of love... xoxo Maya
