Yay! What I thought to be a daunting nail art was a success! How do you like my gelpolish french manicure? Initially, I was really overwhelmed by this nail art design. If you happen to read my French Mani post before this, I mentioned that I dreaded the time and skills involved in doing this. But for the love of my friends, I was able to conquer that fear (uhmm) and do the french for several of my friends. Now I took the chance to do it to my own fingers. I even managed to add some shimmer and glitter. What do you think?

First, here's two coats of "Stay True To The Art" Fingerpaints gel polish. I used an eye-liner brush to define the smile-line of the white tip then cured the polish after every coat. This is the part that took a long time as I wasn't used to this technique yet. I found that the gel polish is a bit more fluidy (he he, I mean it's not as thick as regular polish) so it was a bit more tricky to work with. With practice I think, the process will eventually be faster.
Then, to spice it up a bit, I applied glitter on the smile line using a thin, long brush.
Next, I applied "Impressionist Pink" on the entire nail. This is a shimmer, pink tinted gel polish. I used a brush to absorb some of the polish that went over the glitter to make them more pronounced. Finally, I added the top coat...
And here's the finished design ;)
Of course, we should add in the spotlight the polishes that I used, right?
