Nautical Nails | First Bestie Twin Nails | OMD2 Theme: Nautical

Nautical Nails | Pretty Nails And Tea
Jennifer {of IG FilipinoGoddess619} and I had been planning for the longest time to have "Bestie Twin Nails."  This is my first so I was quite nervous.  My design took 2 nail fails before I got to do this.  Hence, you see my ring finger already stained in polish (yup, I can't get it off...)  Not only is this my first, Bestie Twin Nails, this is also my first Nautical Nails... I used Avon Polishes for this design. Please continue reading to see a great nautical nail art feature in the end of the post for your inspiration.  You'll also see all the polishes I've used and some swatches.
The beautiful navy blue polish is called "Midnight Blue" It actually had a shimmer and some glitters to it and it's very pretty on it's own.  The dark pink polish is called "Strawberry Fraise" and the white polish is called "French Tip White"  I used the "Pink Pastel" on my first design and it was a nail fail... so...

A swatch, a swatch... I think this midnight blue polish is perfect for "galaxy nails" (hmmm, next project?!? Maybe... hehehe.)

Initially, I did a free hand of my navy blue stripes...  looks good to me... and then my design got smudged... err, I was a little impatient for it to dry, that's why. :(  Did that twice...

And then finally, here it is!!! Would you believe that the anchor actually intimidated me?  I did it twice and I failed.  So I decided to take it out and do a boat instead.  Then I added the life savers, that was an original part of Jennifer's design. I had the nails drying and I was really careful with it.

p.s.
I will be posting it on Jacqui's Oh Mon Dieu Part Deux (OMD2) (CraftyNail.com) as part of the Nautical Theme for Day 27.   Good thing the designs can be done in any order, lol...

...and here's more nautical nail art inspiration for you that I gathered from Instagram ;)  Enjoy!!!
