Comfort and Friendship | St Martins New Brunswick Canada

St Martins New Brunswick NB

Isn't it beautiful... so serene... so peaceful?
The salty air made breathing so easy.
When it is but the natural thing to do:
To close your eyes and deeply inhale,
fill your chest with air,
Feel every wind that goes through you;
Then release the air through your lips ever so slowly,
while you gently open your eyes,
To see winsome blue skies
and stout white clouds.
Ah!  What a view.

St Martins New Brunswick NB

The cold breeze,
that kisses your face with a warm welcome;
The ripples on the waters,
that seem to wave towards you;
Boats just floating about in place...
An atmosphere that inspires meditative thoughts.

There were no other people around,
they're hiding from the bitter cold maybe...
Or perhaps just starting their day a little late.
So your focus turns into the laughter
of your dear friends fooling around,
taking a million pictures of each other
and of the scene,
in every possible angle.
The smiles, the jokes, the familiar faces;
a tap on the shoulders now,
a little jab later;
Every word echos camaraderie:
A familiar comfort neither time nor space erased.

 It is about the place,
a beauty and serenity that could fill the soul;
And then it is about the people,
the love and friendship that fills the void;
Makes an otherwise ordinary day
into something unforgettable.

Late autumn of last year, we had the privilege of visits from some of our dear old friends from miles away.  We took the time to drive to some places we haven't been, to enjoy the view and the time together.  Please come and walk with us in this charming little village of St Martins here in my new home of New Brunswick.

    1. Oh Ate how exciting, I am glad that I am able to inspire you din. It is great to see new places eh? To see things we haven't even dreamed about... it makes me feel insignificant, keeps me humble... yet we find more meaning to life. What a wonderful prospect we have in the future. To have a world without borders and nothing to fear of... If in this lifetime I won't be able to visit you there in Sweden, for sure sa paradise, nothing will stop me, hehe...

  4. Maya, when did you move to NB? I thought you lived on the west coast somewhere.
    I've only been east once from Ontario and loved it, as you say the scenery and the tranquility there are second to none.

    1. Hi Judith! I've been in NB for 4 years now, I lived in Ontario before that (7 years). One of these days, I would love to make it to the west coast too. It's beautiful there, right?
      Thank you for allowing me to share in Mosaic Monday. I appreciate your comments.
