Happy Imaginings

A wonderful cup of chai tea along with a sweet chocolate mouse cup for a mid-morning snack became even more fascinating when I ate and drank while staring at these artworks on the wall.  I find them really intriguing.  What were the artists' thoughts?  I wonder.  The choice of colors exudes happy emotions and pleasant imaginings.

Yellow for joy and blue for serenity.

They say that you can perceive an artist's outlook, mood, emotions, aspirations, even personality by looking at his work.  The choice of colors speaks much about his moods; brushstrokes about his emotions; the theme about his personality...  The resulting artwork affects it's surroundings, radiating those feelings the artists had.  For one cannot help but imagine all those things looking at an enthralling artwork.  No wonder art enthusiasts could often relate to it and say: "It speaks to me."

These paintings hang at the Tony's Patisserie, a bakery-bistro we visited today.  A nice French bakery in Moncton. Our little time there was pleasant indeed.  On the way home I kept thinking, maybe, the next time I get a coupon for the craft store, I'd get a nice set of sketch pad and colors... So whenever i could muster the courage, I'd try another new thing...

Adventure?

it's good to pause
in our pursuit of happiness
and just be happy."

I recently joined a  linky called Sunday Sketches.  I have always had a casual admiration for art, they are beautiful indeed.  Being with like-minded people and seeing how they are uplifted by the art, seeing what they see in others and how it affects them, encouraged me to look at artworks in a whole new light.  Suddenly, I would be caught looking at an artwork so intently, studying them, as if I knew anything about art...  I don't.   But now I can appreciate them a lot better.  Funny how we can find fascination in things we haven't even considered before.

  2. Enlightening post about the language of an artist! I'm also an art enthusiast and I've tried my hand on painting and sketching in my younger years, then I suddenly stopped. But I the thought of resuming this hobby won't leave me alone. It's just so persistent. I know I want to do this, if only I could find the time.
    Thanks for this inspiration.
