KONAD Stamping Nail Art | Haul
The days of summer were short and busy. How did your summer go?
I must say, it was a very adventurous 'few weeks' indeed. This last few weeks especially were full of many different activities. And I am glad. I had my fill of wanderlust and great time with friends from near and far that now I look forward to quiet and slow days. I would be lying if I say I am looking forward to winter. My ever warm-blood could not stand the cold! But I could finally say: "I am ready for it!" By that I mean, I have collected not just memories - I also collected lots of new polish bottles and nail art toys waiting for me to try. (That and some baking tools, learning and teaching a new language... arts and crafts... Add that to a new job and my volunteer work = I am going to be really busy! No time to mope and complain about the cold - or so I would hope.)
Take this lovely stamping nail art kit for example. I am super excited to try it!

Salon Insta Gel Strips Starter Kit | Haul
One of the perks of working close to a shopping area is... shopping... lol.
Well, I mean, because it's on my way, I get to drop in quite often and check in on some sales. Have you ever wondered what these insta gel strips are? Well, I have and I wondered how they work but refuse to pay full price... Now I know what's in it... ;-)

Wanderlust | Julep Subscription Box August 2014
"I believe it's time for another adventure."
Wanderlust - noun, a strong innate desire to rove or travel about.
Origin: 1850–55; < German, equivalent to wander(n) to wander + Lust desire; see lust
I am guilty of being attracted to this box because of it's name "Wandelust." If money was no object, I would surely travel the world... lol.. Although it's not the world right now, I still wish to rove about and see new places and experience new things. Why is summer in Canada sooooo short? :-( So now, we try to do as much as possible and soak up the heat as much as we can. I am so dreading the coming of winter right now... I am gearing up for the cold winter months by racking in some polishes, lol. Then I'll sit by the warm fire and do nails... for now, I will show you the polishes that come in my mail faster than I could use them... wa ha ha!!!

KLUTZ Nail Style Studio | Nail Art Book Review
Late night but a friend needed a few things from the grocery store so hubby and I took her to the supermarket. While there, I decided to pick up a few necessities, myself. On the way to the toiletries section, I passed by a clearance display with some books and gift ideas. At the very bottom if the self was a book that seemed to have some polishes in it. I knelt down to inspect and I was right! A nailart gift set for Tweens! Originally priced at $26.99, I came away with it for $16.99+tax.

HAUL: Well Manicured | Nail Care and Nail Art Tools
A proper nail artist needs proper tools, won't you agree?
What tools do you usually use for your nail care routine?"To do a job well, one must have the proper tools. But the tools themselves don't do the job.One must attain the skill to use the tool well."
Recently, a friend received a 50%-off-coupon from Julep with her Welcome Box. Yes, she subscribed! Yay!!! I rode-on her discount and purchased some tools along with her order. I got the Plié Wand and the Well-Manicured Kit. (As well as the "Gem Collection", you may read about it more here.)

Winners HAUL (My Beauty Spot and Color Club Nail Polish)
Happy Tuesday Ladies!
Presenting to you, another nailpolish haul. I got this goodies a few day ago. A friend wanted to take a walk around and do some window shopping. The window opened up for me when I saw this greatly priced jewels. Having a nail art party with my nieces in a few days time so I thought of getting some fun new stuff :)
"MY BEAUTY SPOT"
I have not tried this brand before. Not too long ago, I purged my nailpolish collection and removed what I suspected to be not toxin free. The label for these polishes does not list any of the toxins in the ingredients. Nor does it claim to be free of them. So I'm not quite sure if its "safe." But I couldn't deny the beauty of the colors and the bottles. I love the black-bow touch. There's a little funnel as well for the caviar. Yes, there are 4 bottles of micro-beads in the package. All these for $9.99. Not bad huh? Still not sure if it's toxin free as the polish emits a strong smell, nail polish remover or paint-like smell.
Swatches and nail art will be posted separately ;)
Another part of my awesome haul is this Color Club set. On first look, these pretties look like creme pastels. They are creme and soft-colored, alright. But they are also as bright as highlighters :) In other words... neon pastels! Happy, cheerful colors - apt for summer. Such a gorgeous bunch.
Their is no indication on the package that claims "toxin" free. Ingredients did not list the toxins either. But the Color Club website states that they are dedicated to making safe and cruelty free products. "Environmentally Awesome," is what they call these gems ;) The smell is not as strong as the "My Beauty Box"... For that, I am glad ;)
Here are the names of the colors... I paid $9.99+13% tax CAD for 5 colors, a glitter topper and a topcoat (7 bottle-set).
